DUTCH DV-NODE SOFTWARE FOR THE BLUE AND RED DONGLES

It supports the node adapter series of the boards, the dv access point ( dvap red dongle ) the dv dongle ( blue dongle ), network side, it supports both dplus ( regular gateways and reflectors ) as well as the dextra protocol used by the xreflector system.

Also supported are d-star callsign routing ( through ircddb ) and the reporting of gps positions to the aprs network.

D-star (digital voice) radio has been available in the uk since 2007.

Ive read about but never seen it in action but the radios are sooooooooooooooo expensive

Yes the radio's are expensive but they are digital and normal fm analogue radio's that's why I use the dongle hi hi.

what do you mean by a dongle what are you using this dongle on exactly, not sure what this means but interested

The dongle connects to a computer using a usb connection, you install a parallax usb driver from their site, you install the dvnode software so you can connect to the network, and you register your callsign to use the system (to stop abuse).
A mobile station within range of a repeater can connect to the repeater and be linked to the gateway to operate any repeater or reflector in the world. with the dongle you connect directly to the gateway from a drop down list in the software. much easier hi hi.
