Ok this is bazaar but after doing a scan on my computer today as Ive already mentioned I got a phone call today from an Indian guy working for microsoft offering me free help MMMMMMmmmmmmmmm (strange nothing is free alarm bells) as he was talking he told me they are contacting people and checking they are not having computer problems with all the viruses that are knocking about and started gaving me instructions which I didnt do but just humoured him as I wrote it down, I held him on the phone then googled and guess what I found lol. http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110615064515AAP8CK2 yes its a con..............

Now the following conversation I cannot disclose on open forum as I will probably have to ban myself so be careful folks they are doing the rounds

I have had hundreds of these calls sometime 2-3 per day, I just take them for a ride and play along pretending to do what they say , like hang on a minute my computer is very slow... wasting their time , then in the end I end up saying I own a Mac and they hang up!! lol

hahaha there is a group on line that does that, its a competition to see who can keep it going the longest such as emails about I need your account details and will give you half the 2 million Ive inherited. I was reading some of the stories a while back and howling, they were winding them up for months, Ill have to dig out a link for you
