Astatic Echomax 2000 wiring Empty
PostSubject: Astatic Echomax 2000 wiring   Astatic Echomax 2000 wiring EmptyWed Feb 22, 2012 5:26 am

Hi,

A good friend just repaired a cable for my Astatic Echomax 2000. It was an original 6 wire coil cable with a 5 pin uniden plug at one ened and a Cat 5 on the other. I have lots of good uniden 5 pin plugs already wired to coil cable but it has 5 wires inside. Can this 5 pin plug and cable be wired properly to an Astatic Echomax 2000 mic with a Cat 5 plug even though the 6th yellow wire is not there?

Thanks,

Androx

Incredible good question and one not at all easy to answer. It is my belief the yellow wire is not needed. A friend of mine has one here wired for a Lincoln and the yellow wire was cut free and not used. But the mike works,

Otherwise i have no idea at all. Thats the prize winner for question of the year so far 2012 cheers
